May 2025 release

LUY 8.1.2

May 2025

This month's release focuses on improving small but significant aspects of the LUY user experience. Many of these updates streamline the user workflow in SEV and TV, reducing unnecessary friction, and resolving usability issues. While there are no major features introduced in this release, we're laying the groundwork for future enhancements.

Now, let's dive into what’s new in this release:

1. Improvements

LUY Nova:

  • Report names are now visible in the breadcrumbs.

  • The “Relations” tab in the TV → Edit columns sidebar is now renamed to “Relations & relation attributes” to clarify what the tab contains.

  • Editing the report name in table view now creates fewer undo/redo steps.

  • The drag-and-drop indicator in TV is now always visible and no longer overlaps with column titles, even when columns are very narrow.

2. Bug fixes

LUY Nova:

  • Markdown text, multiple selection enum and responsibility attributes are now expanded immediately after saving in the SEV if the content is long.

  • Fixed an issue where canceling a change on a single enum attribute in the SEV incorrectly displayed the temporary new value instead of the original.

  • Responsibility attribute values are now readable in the SEV when using dark mode and keyboard navigation.

  • Pressing Esc in the report rename field in TV now correctly discards the change and resets the report name.

  • The "Subscribe" button for reports now updates its state immediately after subscribing, without requiring a page refresh.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Markdown editor to “jump” when editing long tables after scrolling.

  • The error toast shown when navigating to a non-existent BB element now displays the correct message: "There is no element with this ID or you don't have permission to view it".

  • Lists inside block quotes in the Markdown editor now end correctly when Enter is pressed twice.

  • Save/Cancel buttons for the last line in the TV are now properly accessible and no longer hidden.

  • Undo/Redo now works correctly with horizontal rule and image markdown components.

3. Limitations

  • LUY Nova mainly introduces read only features and some basic edit possibilities. These features will be expanded on in the upcoming releases.

  • There are certain areas that are not yet accessible in LUY Nova, such as some diagrams, the dashboard, some administration and integration settings. For now, you’ll need to use LUY Classic to use those. Our release notes will, of course, feature any new addition to LUY Nova in the future.
