Current pilot release
November 2024
With this release we are pleased to introduce the next iteration of our new LUY.
Since the initial release of our new LUY, we focused on providing more features when working with reports and added more attribute types for the edit input in both the single element view and table view. Stay tuned!
1. New features
1.1 Working with reports in the new frontend
Users can now create new table view reports in the new LUY.
Starting in the default view of a building block type’s table view, users can now save any changes they made to this table by creating a new report. The “create new report” button and menu entry are activated as soon as a change has been made to the default view.
Users can also copy or delete reports directly in the table view.
Known limitations:
Reports not yet include a check for changes made by other users in the meantime.
Draft saving is not part of this release and will be added in later iterations.
1.2 Use the advanced filter in table view reports
The advanced filter is now available in table view reports. It works similarly to the filter users already know from working with LUY in the past.
With the “Add rule” button users decide if they want to filter by relation or by attribute. Several rules can be stacked in “or” and “and” conditions or removed one by one by clicking the red bin icons. In the manual selection tab single elements can be checked off should they not be displayed in the report.
When a user opens a report configured in the past in the new LUY, LUY automatically displays the previously set filter conditions in the new layout.
Every change to a saved report is transported to the new LUY and vice versa.
1.3 Edit dates, boolean and plain text attributes in the new table view
In the new table view, users can now edit date, boolean, and plain text attributes. As with the previously introduced edit options, on double click in a cell LUY opens an input field for typing in a new value or selecting from a drop down.
In our table view, new values will be automatically saved when clicking on another cell.

1.4 Edit date interval attributes in the new single element view
We are pleased to introduce another edit possibility for attributes in the new frontend. Users can now edit date interval attributes by clicking on the attribute value and either choosing a date from the date picker or typing.
Dates that are set to reflect a single date attribute show more information on hover.

2. Improvements
2.1 Add new version built-in attribute to single element view
To have a complete overview of an element's most important read only fields, we’ve added the new version built-in attribute to the overview tab of the single element view.
2.2 Show information about mandatory attributes in edit mode
All mandatory elements now show a hint that they are set as mandatory in edit mode when they are not assigned.
3. Limitations
The edit functionality is now introduced for some attribute types in the new frontend’s single element view and table view. Step-by-step, we will make all of the attribute types available for editing, stay tuned!
Save functionality: Draft saves are part of future releases. For now, you need to explicitly save a report so that changes to the report configuration in the table view are persistent after navigating to another page.
